Dan is not only a coach but an educator. He’s able to provide context as to why and how an exercise or movement affects a particular muscle. Dan helped me to feel stronger and better overall, but also gave me the tools and resources to further my fitness goals. If you are ready to work, Dan is your man! As a personal anecdote, I came to Dan as someone who had little to no knowledge of proper form or exercise and then managed to deadlift 305lbs almost 7 months later.

I can’t recommend Dan enough! When I worked with Dan I really appreciated his consistency. He always was there on time, always had a plan for that day, and a clear plan for tracking my progress too. He helped me with things I could do on my own outside of our sessions (what equipment, shoes to buy, etc.) and really paid attention to my body and what I needed. In our time together (a little less than a year) I gain 10 lbs of lean mass (muscle). He is a great coach and guy!

Dan has been an excellent trainer and nutrition coach. I was stuck with my weight loss and since starting with him I have lost 10lbs in less than 2 months and 3% body fat. I am down a pant size! He is also doing barbell training with me for muscle building in addition to weight loss. Dan has been encouraging and incredibly knowledgeable throughout this process. Highly recommend!

I've personally worked with Dan since May of 2022 when I first met him at Shape Training. After two abdominal surgeries, I was very hesitant in lifting weights again. Dan is however, very good at working with clients who are nursing an injury. I found his methodical , step-by-step approach very helpful in overcoming my fear of lifting heavy weights due to my past injuries! I believe Dan's strongest attribute is science and research-based approach to fitness. Dan often supports his ideas and thoughts based on research and human anatomy, and being a research scientist myself, I found that very helpful! Dan is also very attentive to details and will give you his undivided attention during training! He is quick to point out and address incorrect techniques and lifting habits when he spots (no pun intended) one! Our sessions were worth the weight! (Ba-dum tsh)!

It has been a real pleasure working with Dan and his company these past few weeks and I cannot recommend him enough! I’ve been lifting weights since I was in high school, read books, watched the youtube videos, etc. But it took a herniated disc to sideline me from lifting and I’ve had radicular pain since then. Dan’s coaching helped me regain my confidence, correct my imbalances, and actually alleviated my pain in just 4 sessions. I really think Dan’s a great asset for anyone looking to get into shape or work their way back from an injury. Of course, I also want to mention he’s timely, very responsive, and very professional.

Dan is great! He took time to meet with me and learn about my current status, goals, and how experienced (or inexperienced in my case) I felt in the gym. Dan is super knowledgeable and helped me get comfortable in the gym. We spent a lot of time at first working on the foundational movements and lifts to ensure my form was correct before adding a ton of weight. Dan has the heart of a teacher and makes sure you understood the "why" behind "what" exercises you're doing. Another thing I love about working with Dan is that he worked within my time, schedule, and budget constraints to keep me consistent. We were able to stay consistent during a two-month trip I took by training over video calls. Can't recommend Dan and House Call Training highly enough!

Dan is a professional, competent and patient trainer. As a woman with PCOS, it is difficult for me to lose weight in my own. I also have issues with blood pressure and fainting. Dan has been more than accommodating with me and these limitations. Through consistent communication and workouts, he has helped me lose 20 pounds in the last 5 months. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their health, especially if they have special limitations that may hold them back in a typical training setting.

Dan's regimen works! In just over 12 months following Dan's program I have lost 103 lbs. Dan helped guide workout plans and they were adjusted throughout the year for what I was looking for. House Call is very easy to work with. They identify your individual needs and goals and establish a plan to get you on track. I've been working on a training plan for 3 to 4 months and I've lost over 15 pounds in that time while adding a lot of muscle. Couldn't be happier with how my goals are being met and any questions along the way are answered very clearly. Nothing confusing about it. You have to put in the work but they will hold you accountable. They definitely give me the drive to get the physique I'm looking for.

Worked out with Daniel for years. He got me in the best shape of my life and got me comfortable in the gym. As a woman, getting comfortable in the gym is important. He is also my go to with specific problem areas. He is very knowledgeable with the muscular system and shows you how everything is connected. I've found out that not all personal trainers have this expertise which is why I wouldn't trust anybody else with my fitness health.

House Call Personal Training is the real deal. I lost 15 lbs over the course of nine months, and I owe a lot of that success to House Call. It was great to have access to professionals who are extremely knowledgeable in their field, and who are willing to help. If you are able to define your workout goals, House Call will provide you with a way to achieve them. My personal goals where to train to compete in a MURPH competition, but House Call is able to tailor their programs to the many different needs of their clients. There is no substitute for hard work, but House Call will help you work smarter. Recommended.

5 Stars !!!!! Fantastic, knowledgeable, supportive, professional, motivational, and inspirational are just a few words that describe Dan and House Call Personal Training!!! I started on March, 2023 with the activity level of just above a “couch potato!” Dan and I reviewed my health issues and concerns then he developed my program for strengthening, cardio and balanced based on my assessment. Furthermore, discussion of nutrition, stress management and continuing my goals of strengthening and weight loss were addressed. Not only does he work with you during your session, he has a customized program in place for you to continue between sessions and is available through his Trainerize application if you have any questions or concerns. I have been able to increase my exercises in weight and reps; my lab values have improved greatly and my muscle tone has increased! I am the lightest I have been since my college day’s and down 4 sizes in clothes and still going! I cannot fully express how thankful I am that Dan was recommended to me. I have been working with House Call Personal Training for the past six months, and I am proud to say that Dan's training has transformed me. I met Daniel through Pitt. He has noticed my difficulty in staying consistent with my fitness goals and when he started his company I reached out to him for a route to success. I have about 10 years of lifting experience and have gained about 25 bad pounds after getting out of the Marines. I was stuck in that boring “bro lifting” style and was not getting anywhere. I reached out to Daniel and asked him what I should do. We sat down and he asked me what my goals are and why. After having our discussion he told me I would have my program later that day. As promised I get my program and my jaw drops haha. I see what I am doing and everything was in line with what was said in our discussion. He actively listened and tailored my program to reflect. It was very hard at first and I thought he was crazy for what he was making me do. I am about 4 weeks into my program and I see and feel the results! In the beginning I can maybe do 15 pull ups within a session. Now I can do over 100 pull ups a session, this was specific to my goal so don’t fear that he will have you doing 100 pull ups haha. My fiancé is telling me that I’m looking better and that I have been in a better mood. Daniel always checks in with me and asks how I am doing and how the workouts feel. Dan and I have been working together for a few months. His recommendation to me came from an existing client, a medical doctor with USA Olympics credentials. Dan’s excellent communication skills, and knowledge of human physiology enables him to provide insight and explain the connection between specific exercises and my individual goals. He brings a disciplined nature - probably from his Marines experience. Mixing in the flexibility of personal, at-home training sessions with Dan is unique and a plus for me. Dan’s explained how our training plan targets specific muscle groups for my personal goals for a guy in his 60s, Ironman triathlete living with low back pain, and declining overall balance and strength at my age. For me, a real tangible benefit about working with Dan has been he actively listens to my feedback and has made real time adjustments to the training routine as needed to keep me on track. Actual ‘personal training’ in other words. I still have a long way to go to achieve my goals of living without chronic back pain and regaining the strength and stability I need for endurance sport. Dan with House Call was my trainer for about 6 months and the progress I made during this time was incredible. He was patient with me, as I was very out of shape in the beginning so he tailored my workouts to fit my capabilities and endurance while also ensuring they were rigorous enough to bring about healthy changes. Dan was also attuned to my specific goals and expectations and made sure my workouts would help me achieve the results I was looking for. I have back problems as well, and he was knowledgeable about form and exercises that would not exacerbate these issues. In total, I lost over 40lbs while training with him and gained a lot of insight that would help me moving forward with future fitness goals. Best of all, it was clear that he actually wanted me to be successful and cared about my progress. I started on-line training with Daniel in January, 2021. Having turned 64 a few months before, I was interested in getting stronger and more tone to avoid age-related bone density and muscle mass/strength loss. I also wanted to do a pull-up! My husband and I walk 25 miles per week and I had done some exercising with dumbbells and body resistant exercises, so, I wasn't completely foreign to exercise. Daniel started me at 2X/week, introducing me to weightlifting (my husband has acquired gym equipment over the years), and kettlebells and bands, which I purchased. I started doing squats, deadlifts, bench presses, planks, side planks, stepups, dumbell curls, kettlebell press, etc., gradually increasing weight and reps and going to 3X/week. If I told him I'd be traveling, he'd send me a program I could easily do in limited space and time. When I questioned my form on doing something, Daniel had me send him a video of my doing it and, if not correct, he'd send a video of his doing it so I'd have it to refer to. My 66th birthday is just around the corner and I'm very happy to report I can comfortably do 4 pull-ups, sometimes 6! I'm also working on "manly" push-ups. Daniel is very knowledgeable, professional, and patient, and truly wants his clients to feel at their best. Thank you, Trainer Dan!
